LibreOffice is an office suite that is compatible with office applications such as Microsoft Office or OpenOffice.org and is available in a variety of platforms . The goal is to produce office applications that support the format ODF without relying on a supplier and must include the copyright . LibreOffice name is a combination of words Libre (Spanish and French which meansfree) and Office (English, which means office). As a free software and free ( FOSS ), LibreOffice is free to download, use, and distribute. LibreOffice is a project development of OpenOffice.org which since 2010 has been acquired by Oracle.
